soundtrack was released in July 2002. The soundtrack
to the David Caesar (Idiot
Box, Mullet) film
features 2 You Am I tracks: Draggin’
Yer Bones and Calendar
Eyes as well as 3 Tim
Rogers penned tunes with Bernard
Fanning (Powderfinger)
and Billy Thorpe on vocals
and You Am I providing the music. The remainder of
the album is made up of classic Australian Covers
from late 60s (the same era as the films setting).
Phil Jamieson (Grinspoon)
sings on the Easybeats
classic Made My Bed, Gonna Lie
In It and Tex Perkins
rips through the AC/DC
cover of the title track with You Am I again providing
the music.
Tim Rogers teams up with
Lisa Miller on Losin’
My Blues Tonight, and Jody
Bell helps them out on Washboard
Rock & Roll. Other Acts to feature on the
soundtrack include Grinspoon,
Palladium, Dallas
Crane, Powder Monkeys,
Daddy Cool and The
Loved Ones. You Am I even feature in the film
as the entertainment in a psychedelic 60s nightclub!

Me Slowly and can also be found on the Damage

the Kick A Hole In The Sky

Soundtrack to the 1997 Australian
comedy Idiot Box, which
stars Ben Menelsohn and
Jeremy Sims as westies
Kev and Mick.
The soundtrack was produced by Tim
Rogers and Nick Launay,
and Tim was also responsible for choosing the bands
and some of the classic Aussie covers that appear
on the album.
You Am I contribute the majority of tunes on the album
including Cats And Dogs,
Gasoline For Two and
Television Addict which
was originally done by The Victims
- Dave Faulkner from
the Hoodoo Gurus' first
band. You Am I also perform three instrumental tracks:
Idiot Box I, Idiot
Box II and Idiot Box
III and Tim Rogers performs
backing vocals on the Hoss
tune Winter Salsa. Degenerate
Boy by The Mark Of Cain
was the only single released from the album and You
Am I cover The Beasts Of Bourbon
track Dropout as the
B-side.

I contribute an awesome performance of Baby
Clothes to this live compilation. It was taken
from a concert performed in 1996 around the time of
Hourly, Daily's release.
The concert was broadcast on the Melbourne community
radio station Triple R.

to find Good Mornin'
cassingle.
