Staying Home With You Am I Lead Singer Tim Rogers

Q. What's your idea of the perfect night in?
A. Looking at Rocio (wife) playing with Ruby (daughter) while taking a few
sly slugs of the ol' firewater.

Q. What's the first thing you do when you get in the door?
A. Kiss the girls then check the house for bugging devices.

Q. Do you listen to music much to unwind at home?
A. All the time - Gershwin to Grand Funk, Mingus to Motorhead.

Q. How many CDs do you have in your collection?
A. Enough to look like I know what I'm doing.

Q. Your nightly ritual is...
A. Life is too haphazard for rituals.

Q. Do you practice your singing around the house?
A. Not practice. I sing for Ruby, for fun and for the good Lord himself.

Q. What's the best way to unwind at home?
A. Unwind? Never, you've got the wrong guy.

Q. Who is your ideal video-watching partner?
A. Rocio. She can dissect a film, a camera shot or an actress' arm placement
like a musketeer. I just like the pretty colours.

Q. Do you write much of the band's music at home?
A. All of it. It starts when I'm out walking aimlessly but if it stays in my
head after a couple of days, I'll get it together here.

Q. Do you like to cook?
A. Love it. I'm hopeless but you feel more justified slugging wine and
gesturing arrogantly. More like a show than I would have thought.

Q. What is compulsory viewing at your house?
A. Telediario, about 10am weekdays on SBS.

Q. Describe your house in five words.
A. Full o' damn good lovin'.

Q. Who puts the garbage out at your house?
A. Dad, me, Tim, that guy from You Am I.
